(As Seen On Shark Tank) TURBO TRUSSER For Chicken And Turkey
In this review video, Mr. Cast Iron demonstrates the Turbo Trusser (amzn.to/3wSlXdz), which was featured on Shark Tank. With this, you don't need to know how to truss a chicken or turkey. Once trussed, we placed our chicken into the Lodge cast iron casserole pan and inserted our ThermoPro Twin Spike thermometer. You can also add a skewer for a rotisserie. The tempspike temp probe helps to get the chicken to the desired temperature of 165 degrees. You don't want your meat undercooked, so these work best to achieve a safe temperature.

Can You Use Metal Utensils On Enameled Cast Iron?
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.6 месяцев назад
In this video, Mr. Cast Iron answers a question about enameled cast iron. Can you use metal utensils on enameled cast iron? The short answer is no! Using a wooden spoon or spatula is best to protect your Dutch oven or any enameled cookware. You can use plastic, nylon, silicone, and rubber, but wood is the best, in my opinion. Never use a knife to cut anything in the Dutch oven, as this can scra...
What Are The Disadvantages Of Cast Iron?

I typically LOVE LODGE products. I was real excited, when this was released. I finally got a hands on look, at one of their outlet stores in Tennessee. I just wasn't impressed because it lacks a way to add more charcoal, without removing the grill's top! I feel like someone had a good idea, but rushed it to completion and into production. It needs a "Generation 2" with some sort of coal shoot on the side, or top? But, it appears (when flipped over) the bottom base can do double duty as a griddle or griddle grill top! It just makes me wonder... why?

I question whether the orange peel you’re talking about is intentional or actual laziness on the part of the manufacture. I’ve got my grandmothers number eight cast-iron frying pan that God knows how old it is. My grandmother was born in 1897. The bottom of it is basically as smooth as any stainless steel pan you would see I use only heat and salt to clean it when I’m done in a super thin layerof bacon grease and hang it back up. I did remove all the seasoning once and I re-seasoned it slowly and many times with grapeseed oil and I’ve never seen a better cast-iron pan. I enjoy your content and keep the videos coming.
